All too often you hear the phrase ‘I wish I had started this when I was younger’.
Wildlife has always been close to my heart, in 2018 I visited Africa for the first time as part of an expedition to Zambia’s Kafue National Park. Needless to say, I fell in love with Africa instantly and made the promise to relocate to Zambia and use my skills and energy to help organisations that serve the wellbeing of the park in their community and conservation efforts.
The Kafue Foundation is a UK registered charity that has been set up to help support and unite initiatives within the Kafue National Park. We believe that to achieve successful conservation the conservation and community initiatives go hand in hand. We identify and work with partners to help drive sustainable solutions that combat the illegal wildlife trade and empower local commuities.
Here I am, starting ‘this’ whilst I’m young.
We issue grants and provide financial support to organisations and initiatives striving to protect and educate the Kafue National Park’s wildlife and community.
By doing this we hope to amplify the great work being done, so the park not only survives, but prospers.
